The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent a vehicle’s wheels from locking up. If you see this warning light on your dashboard, it means the system has detected a malfunction. The vehicle will function as if it didn't have ABS.
A triangular symbol with an exclamation mark in the middle is the symbol for the Master Warning Light. This warning light indicates a serious malfunction with your vehicle’s system. This warning light will show a battery symbol. It means the alternator or charging system has a malfunction. You should pull over if you see this while driving, as the engine could stop without warning.
If you see an oil can on your dashboard, your vehicle could have low engine oil pressure. This could be due to low oil level, dirty oil filter or other issues.
If your vehicle’s engine coolant has increased excessively, you’ll see a symbol consisting of a thermometer with wavy lines. You’ll see one of two warnings. If “Elevated Engine Coolant Temp. Drive Slowly” is displayed, drive slowly to reduce engine load and stop when safe to let the engine cool down. If you see “Excessive Engine Coolant Temp. Stop the Vehicle in a Safe Location” displayed, park in a safe spot right away and stop the engine.
You’ll know you have an engine problem if you see a symbol of an engine on your dashboard. This could relate to either the engine’s electrical system or the emission control system. This can range from a simple loose gas cap to an engine malfunction.
